Sadly, I find this article VERY informative & interesting. Working with X12 files all day makes me notice things like Element separators, Line termination segments and CR/LF.
UltraEdit32 (http://www.ultraedit.com/products/ultraedit.html) is my favorite tool in my IT workshop.
